Total number of cars = 1,200 cars

Percentage of white cars = 30%

Percentage of cars other than white or red = 45%

Percentage of red cars = 100% - 30% - 45% = 25%

Total number of red cars = 0.25 * 1,200 = 300 cars

It is provided that 180 cars are red and not speeding.

So,

Cars that are red and speeding = Total number of red cars - Cars that are red and not speeding

Cars that are red and speeding = 300 cars - 180 cars = 120 cars

Calculate the probability that red car is speeding -

Probability = cars that are red and speeding/Total number of red cars

Probability = 120/300 = 0.400

The probability is 0.400
