Variable cost = (Cost at highest activity - Cost at lowest activity) /(Highest activity-Lowest activity)

= (9500-4700)/(8500-3700)

= 1 per unit

Fixed cost = Total cost - Variable cost

= 9500 - (8500*1)

= 1000

Cost function = 1000+1x
