Answer #1

Q5. When the shares are repurchased the the number of shares held by the shareholder decreases but the price of the share increases, making sure he makes profit. As the share prices increase , sharholders can hold the shares for longer time period and can defer the capital gain tax.

Q6. Account receivable period = account receivable / sales × 365

= 110/5,000 × 365

= 0.0220 × 365

= 8.03 days

Account payable period = account payable / cost of goods × 365

= 270 / 5,000 ×365

= 0.0540 × 365

= 19.71 days

Inventory period = inventory / cost of goods sold × 365

= 550 / 4,200 ×365

= 0.1310 × 365

= 47.8 days

Cash conversion cycle = account receivable period + inventory peruod - account payable period

= 8.03 + 47.8 - 19.71

= 36.12 days
