100 gm solution containing 24% of KI contain 24 gm of KI by weight

Then 250 gm solution will contain = (250*24)/100 = 60 gm of KI will be needed with 190 gm of water in it

To prepare 1000 litre solution of 40% by weight of KI

40 gm of KI is required to prepare 0.1 litre 40% solution

Then amount of KI required to prepare 1000 litre of water = (40*1000)/0.1 = 400000 gm = 400 kg of KI is needed to 1 litre of water
