Hybridized sp2 orbitals will have energy in-between 2s & 2p

NOTE:

1. They forgot to draw one more 2p orbital in left-side ground state top position. Because they clearly mention as ethene (C2H4), there should be 2 electrons in 2p orbital.

2. You need not to require to draw RED color dotted line, its just for understanding purpose only.
