Why does health care spending continue to grow in the U.S.? Think specifically about specific, demonstrable reasons (as opposed to vague concepts like “greed” etc.).
There are different reasons for
increased level of health care spending. The first reason is the
increase in the average age of the US population. The specific
contribution is to be made by the baby-boomers who are approaching
the advance stage of their age. It demands higher healthcare
spending. The second reason is the consideration of development
cost, R&D work and other expenses to be incorporated into the
health care treatment. It increases the health care spending as
people are forced to do it, as a part of their health care
treatment. The third reason is the rising litigation cases and
lawsuits in health care that is also included when health care
services inclusive of health care insurance are availed. It
increases the health care spending.
Above are some of the reasons that cause an increase in health care
spending.

A newspaper columnist, writing about the US health care system, concluded: "US health care costs are rising so rapidly because a much larger percentage of Americans now have health insurance to pay for their medical bills. The increase in health insurance coverage in the US resulted in a decline in out of pocket spending by individuals from roughly 65 percent to roughly 20 percent from 1950 to 2016. This change led to a 500 percent increase in real per capita...
