Answer #1

1. HC2H3O2- Acetic acid is a weak electrolyte.

Major species : water and CH3COOH

Minor species: CH3COO- and H+

Since it is a weak electrolyte only less amount of it will dissociate into ions.

2. HCl- strong electrolyte ( so dissociates completely)

Major species: H+ and Cl-

No minor species.

3. NaOH- Strong electrolyte

Major: Na+ and OH-

No minor species

4.NH3- weak electrolyte

Major: NH3

Minor: NH4+ and OH-

5.HC2H3O2+NH3- strong electrolyte. It forms a salt. Salts are strong electrolytes.

Major species: CH3COONH4+ and water
