Advantages of Japanese competitor over American company
1. Their understanding of local cultures , taste and preference
will be lot higher.
2. Japanese do not practice the philosophy of hire and fire making
them attract better Japanese talent than American Firms.
3. The Japanese Management practices like Kaizen , Total Quality
management,etc gives them the edge over American firms.
4. Most Japanese firms like Toyota, Honda, Suzuki,etc have
diversified to foreign countries as their market has got saturated
.
So US companies are not going to gain much.
