Answer #1

Ans :

1 .budget purchases for the month of August = Sales for august + ending inventory of august - beginning inventory of august

= 6,000 units + 40%(september month sales) - 40% of august month sales

= 6,000 units + 40 % * 7,500 - 40 %(6000)

= 6000 + 3000 - 2400

= 6600 units

Option B

2. Budgeted revenue for forth quarter = Sales revenue for October , november and december

= [ 4000 units (october) + 4000 * (120%) (november) + 4000 * 120%*120% (december) ] Sales price per unit

= [ 4000 + 4800 + 5760 ] * $ 8

= 14,560 units * $ 8

= $ 116,480
