For the Speech Neural Network, please describe the possible impairments associated with disruptions to each cortical region below. In your description, you should include what processes that will be degraded/damaged (including upstream processes) and what processes will continue to function. This is especially important in terms of the dorsal, ventral stream for speech perception/production.

(Hint #1: do not just consider where the damage is located in terms of cortical region -- also consider whether the damage is bilateral or unilateral. Hint #2: you may wish to search for disorders that may occur when there is damage to these regions. The disorder will provide you with a list of impairments that you can map onto these regions. Hint #3: do not just list the disorder and what is impaired. You need to link it back to the model below and how damage to one region may or may not impact other processing regions. Hint #4: Google is your friend).

Damaged Cortical Regions:

1. Bilateral Damage to the auditory cortex

2. Left hemisphere damage to the Superior Temporal Gyrus (STG) & Superior Temporal Sulcus (STS).

3. Right hemisphere damage Inferior Frontal gyrus.

4. Bilateral damage to the Anterior Middle Temporal Lobe (aMTF)

Answer #1

1.the fifth and synapse the primary auditory pathway occurs in the auditory cortex. It was locate along the central surface of the inside the lateral fissure.its function is docoded sound maternal starts with in the primary auditory pathway.this will carry messages from the cochlea to the sensory area of the temporal lobe of the auditory cortex.

Some possible impairments;

Impairment seemingly unrelated functions like motor, vestibular , or visual processing can induce permanent deafness and chronic auditory hallucinations.

2.left hemisphere damage to the superior temporal gyrus and auperoir temporal sulcus

It located in perception of emotions in facial stimuli , auditory processing , social cognitive process. It involved wernickes area.it activated when hearing human voices. It control the right side of the body .It performs do with logic such as science and mathematics. It responsible for the verbal and logical functions included language , thought and memory.

Some possible impairments.

Loss of inhibition of talking and memory skills.impaired memory or verbal material.

3. It shown in yellow and located above in middle frontal gyrus and behind in the precentral gyrus.located in broca's area involved in language processing and speech production.it responsible inhibit or ability to perform an action when give a signal to stop.

Some possible impairements;

Contextual cue processing

Inhibit go/no - go task or stop signal task.

4.It including the hippocampus role in mediatary declarative memory ( memory of personal events and factual knowedge) high level auditory processing

Some possible impairments;

Infections

Types

Epilepsy

Bilateral occlusion of posterior cerebral artery

Less conscious

Inability to recognition of words.
