Hydroboration is regioselective and stereospecific. Because the addition of hydrogen and Boron is from the same side and hence further -OH also goes on the same side. There is no other possibility to alter the stereochemistry. Hence only one product is going to form with respect to stereochemistry. Hence this reaction is stereospecific. (syn addition!)
