Answer #1

1) In an art context, pluralism refers to the late 1960s and 1970s when art, politics and culture merged as artists began to believe in a more socially and politically responsive form of art

-a social structure in which many small groups maintain their unique cultural identity within a broader culture.

-Diversified, split and fictionalized. Unlike the art of the last several decades, its energy does not seem to flow through a single channel for which a synthetic term, like abstract expressionism, or minimalism, might be found.

Yes, art is influenced by social , economic and political changes.

2) The difference between these two concepts are the extent to which the owner of the space gets to determine the rules of the area. A private space allows the owner, whether it be an individual or a corporation, to make their own rules and regulations regarding the space; the space is private to the owner. Public spaces are more or less controlled as a commons, these spaces are owned cooperatively and rules and regulations are made in ways that affect the public and those that use that space. Art has a positive impact with the public space . Art in public spaces plays a distinguishing role in our country's history and culture. It reflects and reveals our society, enhances meaning in our civic spaces, and adds uniqueness to our communities. Public art matters because our communities gain cultural, social, and economic value through public art.
