a. Antidiuretic Hormone is produced by hypothalamus and is stored and released by pituitary gland. It controls the kidney to

regulate water reabsorption and excretion of urine. High ADH levels indicate less urine output and vice versa.

b. Vasopressin is given to reduce the urine output thus increasing the intracellular volume and correcting water deficit. It increases the thirst too.

hypeenatremia is corrected by vasopressing by making the patient hyoervolemic. But this should be done slowly.

c. After pituitary gland surgery there will be partial or complete lack of ADH. So patient will be excreting large volume of urine and also thirsty . This doesnt have any effect on blood glucose levels.

2. Hyper vitaminosis D causes hyper calcimia, muscle pain etc

also causes Hashimotos disease, hyperparathyroidism etc.
