Answer #1

Nonverbal indicators of anxiety the nurse may encounter when dealing with a client who does not speak English are flushed face with rapid breathing and increased blood pressure. Anxiety causes vasoconstriction, which in turn leads to flushing, which can be noticed while interviewing the client. Rapid breathing is also quite obvious in the case of a patient with anxiety. These two issues present along with increased blood pressure are really good nonverbal indicators of anxiety.
