This is an example of addition of water to triple bond. For such addition of water, in 1st step H+ is abstracted by the triple bond and produce a carbocation and in 2nd step resting water molecule attack to that carbocation.

In the given reaction mechanism you can noticed in 1st step water molecule attack to the one of the carbon of triple bond and produce carbanion which is completely wrong. As 1st step is wrong then 2nd step automatically wrong as this carbanion abstract H+ from water.

The correct mechanism I have shown below :
