Answer #1

The answer is True

Numerous studies have found that, over their lives, women spend substantially more on health care than men. Longevity is a big reason women spend more: U.S. women have a life expectancy of 81 while men have a life expectancy of 76.1 which gives them an average of five additional years to rack up medical bills. But there are also other factors: research shows that women are more likely to visit the doctor, especially since they have children, and tend to seek more preventive care.

Women had lower self-reported health status and lower mean education and income compared to men. Women's mean number of visits to their primary care and diagnostic services was significantly higher than men. Mean primary care, specialty care, emergency treatment, diagnostic services, and total annual fees were all significantly higher for women than men; however, there were no differences in mean hospitalizations or hospital fees.
