Answer #1

Cructhes are the kind of a walking aid used to increase the size for base support of the individual in need. Cructhes are mainly used by the people who are incapable of supporting their balance on legs.

The instruction for using different gait crutches is must- the patient using 2 point gait cructhes should be adviced to use proper balance to use cructhes, in this gait only two point of contact are in action that requires good balance from the user. Here, the fractured leg is one point and uninvolved leg is another point of contact, the crutches with fractured leg is advanced as one unit and balance should be bear on uninvolved second unit.
