Answer #1

The culture of Muslim womens are generally very sensitive. They avoid showing faces other than spouce and female family members and children.

A nurse has to be aware of this basic thing when assigned for opposite gender, the staff will not have any problems because it is their profession where they don't discriminate on the basis of gender. But at the same time patient refuses care from opposite gender.Their feeling and privacy as to be respected and an alternative solution to be done.In case if there is shortage of staff, the nurse in charge has to explain the patient about it and making them in peace by saying the personal hygiene care will be taken care by the co workers or by a female nursing aide.Doing so will be a beneficial outcome on both sides.
