Given: \mu= 40 and standard deviation \sigma = 4

We have asked to find the 12th percentile.

By using raw score formula we get-

12th percentile (X) = Z0.12 * \sigma + \mu

By using Z table we get -   Z0.12 = -1.175

12th percentile (X) = (-1.175 * 4) + 40

= 35.30

Hence the 12th percentile is 35.30
