It is True that in a phishing scam Identity thieves mainly gather information from the users by extending bait in the form of a legitimate - looking email leading users to a fake web site that requires users to provide sensitive information.

The phishing is done by email spoofing, instant massaging or enter fake information on fake website that feel it is legitimate site. The main intention to get sensitive information about user such as password,username or credit card details.This fraudulent people are targeting the web sites where the users are trusted  to disclose personal information such as banks,online processing units such as online bill payment,social web sites etc.
