Answer: It is necessary to know about the index cases for the purpose of disease containment because it helps to locate, understand as well as investigate the results and outcomes of the treatment. It provides the effectiveness of the medication and treatment methods used.

The nosocomial infection is the hospital accquire infection which is caused and transmitted in the hospital due to unhygienic conditions of the hospital.

It is of public concern as the patients themselves get infection while thy arethey are being treated with the major problem. This also effects the visitors and outpatients and affects the health of the people as they get contaminated with the hospital accquire infection.

The transformation of bacteria means that some of the viruses replicates and make it difficult for the treatment of the disease. The medications used to target the particular form of the bacteria. For example: Treatment of tuberculosis contains combination of medicine i.e. bacteriostatic and bactericidal. This causes prevention of the bacteria to grow and kills the bacteria.
