Levine's four conservation principles are:

  1. Conservation of energy:

This principle aims to balance energy input and output to avoid excessive fatigue. This includes

adequate rest, nutrition and exercise

2. Conservation of structural integrity:

The maintenance and restoration of the body structure to prevent physical breakdown and promote healing.

3. Conservation of personal integrity:

The individual is recognized as one who strives for recognition, respect, self awareness, selfhood and self determination

4. Conservation of social integrity:

Recognize the individual as some one who resides with in a family, a community ,a religious group, an ethnic group, a political system and a nation
