The physician will also face the legal sanction in case of inappropriate prescription of opioids. so the doctors are facing tough choices in the pain relief. On the other side, the doctors are pressured to be a pain-free patient's environment. The manufacturer and distributor are failed to update the effect of the opioid medication.

The physician has to look at two different areas such as opioid crisis and another one is pain crisis. National Academy of Medicine given alternative ways to treat pain such as physical therapy, music therapy, acupuncture, meditation, exercise, yoga. Clinicians should against opioids. Patients should also allow to decide themselves in use of opioids medication. But it should not harm the patient. From the ethical point of view, the doctor should stop prescribing of opioid and refer the patient for substance use treatment. The ethical committee advises for the safe use of opioids in the caregiver. It insists on the ethical principles of autonomy and beneficence. The physician should discuss with the patient about the opioid medication before prescribing it.
