Answer #1

In the solution is neutral, pH will not effect the solubility.

A)

CaCO3 is salt of Strong base (Ca(OH)2) and weak acid

Only base is strong

So, the salt CaCO3 is basic

Solubility will be effected by pH

b)

NaCl is salt of Strong base (NaOH) and Strong acid (HCl)

Both acid and base are strong

So, the salt NaCl is neutral

Solubility will not be effected by pH

c)

Fe(OH)2 is base as it has OH- in it.

Solubility will be effected by pH

d)

Mg(NO2)2 is salt of Strong base (Mg(OH)2) and weak acid

Only base is strong

So, the salt Mg(NO2)2 is basic

Solubility will be effected by pH
