The office of the National coordinator for health information technology was created as a part of HITECH act of 2009.

Health insurance portability and accountability act was enacted by United States congress and signed by Bill Clinton in 1996. The purpose of this was to help consumers to maintain their insurance coverage.

Social security act was established on 1935 as a system to help old age , blind people, physically handicapped, child and maternal welfare, public health, unemployment etc .

Patient protection and affordable care act is also known as Obama care was established to help low income people by providing subsidies for health care cost .

American recovery and reinvestment act was passed by president Obama in 1990. This act was introduced to provide economic growth and recovery, improve health care , make changes in nations infrastructure, expand educational opportunities etc .
