Number of electron domain around central atom should be 3

XeCl4:

Xe has 8 valenece electrons.

4 are used to form 4 bonds.

Remaining 4 electrons are present as 2 lone pairs.

So, number of electron domain is 4+2 = 6

CBr4:

C has 4 valenece electrons.

4 are used to form 4 bonds.

So, number of electron domain is 4

This is sp3 hybridised

SF4:

S has 6 valenece electrons.

4 are used to form 4 bonds.

Remaining 2 electrons are present as 1 lone pairs.

So, number of electron domain is 4+1 = 5

C2H2:

C has 4 valenece electrons.

4 are used to form 4 bonds.

So, number of electron domain is 4

This is sp3 hybridised
