The public Health Service monitors the spread of an epidemic of a particular long-lasting strain of flu in a city of 500,000 people. At the beginning of the first week 0f monitoring, 200 cases have been reported. During the first week 300 new cases are reported. Assuming that the number of infected individuals satisfies the logistic equation, estimate the number of infected individuals after 6 weeks.

Total population in the city :500,000

Beginning of first week: 200 infected

At first week:300 new cases

Approximately on estimating it will be 600 cases at second week and 1200 by 4th week and 1800 cases at 6 th week (300×6=1800)

At the end of 6 weeks the nearly 0.36% (1800÷500,000×100) of population is at risk for getting infected ftomnyhe tpral population.
