Balancing the moments,

Mg (L/2) cos(theta) = T L sin(theta)

Tension, T = 9 x 9.8 x 0.5 x cos(23)/sin(23) = 103.89 N

Horizontal component, H = 103.89 N

Force, F = sqrt(H^2 + V^2) = 136.28 N
