Patient is getting IV infusion of normal saline 0.9%

Patient receives 1200 ml of normal saline

According to the composition ,each 100ml of 0.9% normal saline contains = 900mg sodium chloride.

Then 1200 ml of 0.9% normal saline will have :-

= 900/100 × 1200 = 10800mg

= 10800 mg of sodium chloride is present in 1200ml 0.9% normal saline.
