1) Heart burn is the irritation or Burning pain on chest, and throat due to the reflux of gastric acid or bile which irritate the mucosal lining of esophagus. It can be sign of some digestive diseases like gastroesophageal reflux disease or peptic ulcer disease.

Foods that can treat heartburn

Peppermint oil and ginger root, apple cider vinegar, aloe vera juice,turmeric, and honey has shown effective relief from heart burn.

Natural supplements

Apple Cider vinegar supplements which contain apple cider vinegar, ginger, and garlic juice.

Ginger supplements which contain ginger root powder, clove bud powder, turmeric root powder, coriander seed powder, and apple cider vinegar powder.

Papaya supplements

Licorice Supplements

Chamomile Supplements along with aloe vera, licorice, and spearmint

Marshmallow extract.

Aloe Vera Supplements

There are natural supplements available in market and home remedies are practiced by people as per their culture. However, it is unsafe to practice these type of treatment as there are no relevant studies and researches developed and the effects of different type of ingredients in natural Supplements on human body system is still unknown.

The risks of long-term use of Proton Pump Inhibitors

Proton pump inhibitor (PPI) are used to treat acid reflux disease. They act by inhibiting acid secretion in the stomach.

The long term use of these drugs can leads to risk of fractures, Clostridium difficile–associated diarrhea, vitamin B12 deficiency, acute interstitial nephritis (AIN), decreased magnesium and calcium level in blood, pneumonia, dementia,kidney disease, gastric fundic gland polyps, carcinoma of GIT and cutaneous and systemic lupus erythematosus.
