Initial temperature of silver ring,Ti=580 C

Mass of silver ring,m=33 g=0.033 kg

Specific heat of silver,C=233 J/kg K

Energy is required to melt the ring=mCdT=mC(T-Ti)=0.033\times233\times(960-58)=6935.48 J

So option d is correct.
