Answer #1

Hemolytic refers to breaking up or destruction of the red blood cells by the immune system of a patient who is transfused blood. It is dangerous because the destruction of RBC leads to alteration in oxygen supply to the vital organs and the same blood when carried via the circulatory system can alter the cardiovascular system and hence shutting the functions of other vital organs leading to irreversible damage and death. Therefore in order to save the lives of the patient immediate medical intervention is recommended.
