Upon expiration of her visa Carolyn is required to obtain a Green Card to continue working with many of her clients in the United States. Carolyn obtains a Green Card but pays attorney and filing fees amounting to $9,000 in the process. How much of this amount, if any, may Carolyn deduct on her return?

As per Income Tax Act,1961 if any payment made to a professional in of excess 30,000 is laible to deduct tax at the rate of 10%.

As per above provision Carolyn has to deduct $900 while making payment of of that attorney and filing fee...
