Scenario 1 Your client, Majid Badawi, was in a car accident 12 (twelve) months ago that left him paralysed from the waist down and restricted to a wheelchair. He used to be an avid basketball player and loved exercising, especially in team settings. During your latest visit, he tells you that he greatly misses playing sports, and expresses his interest in joining a program that will allow him to exercise as well as meet new people. Part 1 Student instructions: 1. Read Majid's individual support plan and use the information within to determine what his assessed needs are and what sort of activities may be suitable and align with his goals and aspiration for community participation and inclusion. 2. Utilising your research skills, independently research community services and programs that might be suitable for Majid and align with his interests as well as his capabilities. You may identify a number of options that you could discuss with him or show him on a computer, smart phone or tablet during your discussion. You may wish to print information to provide him during your discussions. You are required to provide a link or evidence of the program or activity Majid choses and information about transport options available. This information must be documented on the page provided and submitted with this assessment. • BOWLING

Bowling is a sport activity which can be even performed by sitting in wheel chair. It is also called as wheel chair bowling, which even includes basketball. It is also a kind of physical rehabilitation.The sport is easy to play with limited arm mobility and does not require enormous strength.

• BILLIARDS

This is a wonderful game for wheelchair users ,especially I recommend this gam efor Majid..Individuals with upper body limitations need to stay seated during play and are allowed to use adaptive devices for shooting control.This game can be effectively played by modified pool cues or a roller attachment at the end of a cue stick which allow players with limited hand use to enjoy the sport and be competitive with the best players.

• GARDENING

Gardening is a recreational activity which can be done by staying in wheel chair.Gardening is a kind of exercise and mental stimulation with positive vibe.It is a pleasurable activity.

• TENNIS

Wheelchair is an effective game because it is very exciting and challenging.It helps to build strength and cardiovascular fitness.
