1. Recommendation for overall system evaluation and revision:

MDSs are important data recording and manipulation system in which data from the patient is collected and manipulated to arrive at a prediction pattern of many critical diseases. It is a baseline dara with which we can compare with existing condition and find out the predictions and thus preventing deaths and other critical outcomes. Hence it should be made mandatory to complete the MDSs within soon after the patient admission and utilize the advanced data management system for a better quality in rendering medical care to the patients.

Based on the observation given by the surveyor it is understood that the staff education is very much deficient and they dont meet the statutory requirements in assessing the critical care triggers as published in the CMS manuals ans sections 1819 and 1919. etc

There should tranings arranged to educate the nurse staffs about MDS and Critical care triggers in any health conditions especially for old age patients.
