One of the transactions that can only be recorded in the cash journals once the bank statement has been received, is interest received on a favorable balance for the bank account.

Correct option is (2)

Transaction which effect balance per bank are not recorded in the cash journal. Transaction 1, 3, 4 and 6 are the transaction which will effect balance per bank, hence theses will not be recorded in cash journal.

Transactions which effect balance per book, are recorded in the cash journal. When cash is received from bank for interest earned on bank balance, it is recorded be debiting cash and crediting interest revenue.
