Data Tables & Calculations: Part A: Rod: Your goal is to identify the metal used in the rod via of a comparison of the rods density to that of several known materials. Be sure to record least counts for each device. I. What is the least count of the mass scale (tri-beam or electronic)? Least Count-a 2. What is the least count of the meter stick? 3. What is the least count of the analog vernier caliper? 4. What is the least count of the analog micrometer? 5. Mass: Determine the mass, M of the metal rod & the ring, Mring, using the mass scale Least Count = 1 now Least Count Least Count-l (The large steel ring in some labs already has the mass marked on it, to the nearest gram) 6.
