The probability of living of two meral cats are independent and identical of each other .

If A denotes the probability of living 6 years of 1st meral cat and B denotes of probability of living 6 years of 2nd meral cat.

a.) Then P( of both living till 6 years) =P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B) = 0.95614 x 0.95614 = 0.91420
