freq represent consistent numbering. The trequency 0 goes next to the horizontal axis. Dont offset it downward.) The height or length of each bar is proportional to the number or percentage of individuals in that category. You can write frequencies or percentages at the top of every bar, but this is optional because youre labeling your frequency axis . The frequency axis always needs a title. The category axis may or may not need a title, depending on whether the graph title and category names make the chart easy enough to understand Your pie chart or pie graph must follow these rules: Where a bar graph tends to emphasize the sizes of categories in relation to each other, a pie chart tends to emphasize the categories as divisions of the whole. This distinction is not hard and fast; its just a matter of emphasis. Various observations of the data are represented by the sectors of the circle 0 The total angle formed at the center is 360 . The whole circle represents the sum of the values of all the components. · The angle at the center corresponding to the particular value of the qualitative variable is given by Angle360 or Angle P% 100% 360° or Angle p 360° Match the the particular value of the qualitative variable with the pie segments. 1. The data below represent the results of a poll in which the following question was asked: To what degree are you satisfied with the outcome of the 2016 mayoral election? Construct a pie chart representing the given data set. Degree of Very Somewhat Not at All No Opinion 17% 22% 39% 22%

Pie Chart : A Pie chart is a circular statistical graphic, which is divided into divisions or sections for illustrating the numerical proportion.

For constructing a Pie chart ,we will have to know the angle of each arc of the component or element involved in this data .

Here, we have given Degrees of satisfaction "Very" , "Some what" , "Not at all" . "No opinion" with their Percentage "17%" . "22%" , "39%" , "22%" respectively.

Therefore . angle occupied by the section "Very" with 17% in the Pie chart = Percentage * 360 100 =  17 360 100 = 61.2

angle occupied by the section "Somewhat" with 22% in the Pie chart = Percentage * 360 100   =22 360 100 = 79.2

angle occupied by the section "Not at all" with 39% in the Pie chart = Percentage * 360 100 = 39 360 100 = 140.4

angle occupied by the section "No opinion" with 22% in the Pie chart = Percentage * 360 100 =  22 360 100 = 79.2

(all obtained angles are in "Degree") and we can also verify that sum of all obtained angles equals to 360 (in degree) .

Now, forming the Pie chart with respect to their obtained angle of each section :
