Medical and patient care is usually an aspect of concern for families and relatives in many culture, as the ancient times didnot have good medical facilities and professional support the major patient care aspects were followed by families in some cultures. In this case the patient in the ward is an Asian ethnicity person who has very crucial cultural infleucnes for involvement of family in patient care. Asian ethnic group follow distinct communication and cultural norms that differs from native American norms and needs to be understood and acknowleged during patient care.

Asian culture are based on collectivist culture with strong family values that reflects in the given case. Asian tend to be highly group oriented people that place value in family connections and this is their source of identity. Asian families mean caring for patient, providing or offering food during ill health as custom and good deed, they consider all these acts to be the act of love and care for their family member, moreover they are very good communicators and tend to communicate and visit the patient during ill health and consider this as their responsibility of being a family member.

The provider must consider some norms and understand the cultural values of the Asians during providing care, providers should communicate well, check for understanding, cooperate with the patient, explain them normal regulations of the healthcare facility, and try to understand theior cultural values and beleif behind their family involvement in medical care.
