Classification is necessary and important for scientists to identify, group and properly name the microorganisms through standardized system, based on the similarities found in the organisms DNA/RNA, Adeptions ( evolution ) and embryonic development to the other known organisms.

A microorganism is a living thing that is too small to be seen with the nacked eye. Example of microorganisms are bacteria, protozoa, algae, fungi and viruses. Each type has characteristic cellular composition, morphology, mean of locomotion and reproduction.

The bacteria and viruses that cause the most illness, hospitalization and even death are salmonella, e Coli, norovirus, listeria.

Foodborne illness is caused by consuming contaminated foods. Most foodborne disease are infection caused by variety of bacteria, viruses and parasites.
