1. Answer ; After taking Mr. Lamont vital signs , the nurse Laura would find the abnormal findings are as follows,
- His blood pressure is abnormal , if it should be a normal one it would be around 120 / 80 mm Hg, so Laura would
consider this finding as abnormal.
- His temperature and pulse rate are slightly increased and it would be considered as abnormal. The normal value
should be around 98.6 F and below 100 beats / min respectively would be taken as the normal finding.
- And the breathing rate is also considered to be an abnormal cause it should be in the range of 12 to 20, but in the
case of Mr. Lamont is slightly higher than the range.

2. Answer ; A) choose the cuff that is the right size
B) Ensure that the patient is sitting or lying
D) Ensure proper cuff application

Reason ; While Laura demonstrating about how to take the blood pressure above mentioned statement are very essential to be included in her teaching cause these mentioned factor will directly affect the pressure value if not properly followed.

3. Answer ; Laura would say that, if you had smoking the substance present in the smoking will directly affect your blood vessels and blood wall. It leads to constrict your vessels and due to this reason the pressure within your blood would rapidly increase and affect your normal body function.
