Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

__________________________________________________________________________

We know that, Wavelength For a particle in one dimensional box is given by:

X= 8meldc (2n + 1)

We have,

Mass of electron, me = 9.11 x 10-31 kg

Length of the box, 1 = 0.350 nm = 3.5 x 10-10 m

Speed of light, C = 3 x 108 m/s

Planck's constant,  h = 6.626 x 10-34 J.s

n = 2

Therefore, Wavelength of the light required is given by:

Smelc (2n + 1h 8 x 9.11 x 10-31 kg x (3.5 x 10-10 m2 x 3 x 108 m/s (2.2 + 1) X 6.626 x 10-34 J.s

id= 2.67834 x 10-40 3.313 x 10-33 m

= 8.08433 x 10-8 m

We have, 1 m = 109 nm

:: X = 8.08433 x 10-8 x 10 nm

id= 80.8433 nm
