Answer #1

a)

considering equilibrium of forces

mv^2 / r = T + mg cos x

4* v^2 / 0.8 = 20 + 4* 9.8 cos 30

v = 3.3 m/s

=====

b)

net acceleration is vector sum of tangential and centripetal

a^2 = (v^2/r)^2 + (g sin 30)^2

a^2 = ( 3.3^2 / 0.8)^2 + 4.9^2

a = 14 m/s^2

====

c)

x = arctan ( 4.9 / ( 3.3^2 / 0.8))

x = 20
