Yes if labor intensive manufacturing returns to US due to karge scale mechanization and technological improvements in manufacturing as well as establishing economies if scale, it will surely bring blue collar jobs on rise and reduce unemployment . Mechanization helps achieve highest capacity utilization with maximum synergies and better logistics and supply chain management practices.

Thr biggest drawback in UsA is lack of execution of high level technology at lowest cost, high real estate and construction cost, comparatively higher labor wages and lack of specialization. As results China has benefutted from all above factors and hence led to swing of jobs from USA to China for Manufacturing industry.
