volume CH3COOH solution = 50 mL = 0.050 L

moles CH3COOH present = (concentration CH3COOH) * (volume CH3COOH solution in Liter)

moles CH3COOH present = (1.0 M) * (0.050 L)

moles CH3COOH present = 0.050 mol

Similarly, moles NaOH present = 0.050 mol

Since equal moles of CH3COOH and NaOH are present, therefore, the reaction will go to completion and both reactants CH3COOH and NaOH will be completely consumed

moles H2O produced = moles CH3COOH consumed = moles NaOH consumed

moles H2O produced = 0.050 mol

Q8. Joules released per mole of water formed = (total joules released) / (number of moles water produced)

Joules released per mole of water formed = (3202.55 J) / (0.050 mol)

Joules released per mole of water formed = 64051 J/mol
