Yes. The public media messages on obese kids as ugly and incapable do stigmatize the kids. The advertisements are meant for the promotion of certain products or activities. This does give the society a view that obese kids are not smart and beautiful.

Stigma is an attitude or belief, in simple terms. People do make discrimination as per their beliefs and attitudes. Thus stigma cause discrimination to occur and deprive obese kids of their rights and opportunities.
