HO stearic acid

B. each cycle of beta oxidation produce one molecule of acetyl CoA and fatty acyl chain having 2 carbon less than previous chain.

As a generic rule number of cycle requird will be equal to less than half the number of original carbon atom in the fatty acid because in the last step wherein only 4 carbon atoms are remaining 1 cycle is required to produce two acetyl CoA

since stearic acid contains 18 carbon hence beta oxidation cycle requires will be 8

stearic acid + ATP + 9 COASH + 8 FAD + SNAD + 8H, O gun 9 acetyl - Co-A + 8FADH, + 8 NADH, + AMP + PP
