Answer #1

In the most layman term, absorbed dose means the amounts of energy that passes/deposited in mass.

Absorbed Dose= Energy(j)/Mass(kg)

The measurement unit of absorbed dose of radiation is Gray(Gy)

The absorbed dose of,

  • A man- 70Kg

Absorbed Dose= Energy/Mass= 108 j/70 Kg

Absorbed Dose for the man= 1.54 Gy

  • A woman- 50Kg

Absorbed Dose= Energy/Mass= 108 j/50 Kg

Absorbed Dose for the woman= 2.16 Gy

  • A Child- 20 Kg

Absorbed Dose= Energy/ Mass= 108 j/20 Kg

Absorbed Dose for the child= 5.4 Gy
