Answer #1

Mr. black has blood group O.

Mrs. black has blood group AB.

Their male gametes are O and female gametes are A and B.

The possible results are AO or BO.

This means the child can be of either blood group A or blood group B

Mr. White has blood group A

Mrs. White has blood group B

They can be either homozygous or heterozygous. Let us consider both options.

If they are homozygous, male gametes can be A and female gametes can be B. The resultant child will be of blood group AB.

If they are heterozygous, male gametes can be A or O and female gametes can be B or O. The child can be of A, B, O or AB blood groups.

The blacks cannot have a child with blood group O. As the baby in their room is of blood group O, the baby is not theirs definitely.

The whites can have baby with any or the four blood groups. The baby in their room has blood group A.

As there are only two babies here, they are definitely interchanged and both of them got wrong babies.

———————————————————————————

5. As you have already shown in the punnet squares, the chances of having baby with blood type B is 2 among 4 which is half. That is 50% chance.

6. As you have clearly shown in the punnet square, the chances of having baby with blood type B is 1 in 4. That is one fourth or 25% chance.
